Baptist University of the Américas Announces
An Official Partnership With
The Christian Leadership Institute
SAN ANTONIO, March 25, 2014 – Baptist University of the Américas (BUA), a regionally accredited, Christian university is pleased to announce an official partnership with the Christian Leadership Institute (CLI). This agreement is an officially approved agreement that matches coursework between schools. These are designed to help students make a smooth transition when transferring from one institution to another.
“It is an honor to work with and partner with the Christian Leadership Institute. It’s a privilege to announce that we have partnered with them and likewise, it’s a privilege to announce that they have partnered with us. BUA always wants to open their umbrella when dealing with Kingdom growth,” stated Dr. Moises Rodriguez, Vice President of External Affairs and Dean of the Baptist Bible Institute and Continuing Education of Baptist University of the Américas.
In addressing the recently signed agreement, the President of Baptist University of the Américas, René Maciel says: “I know I speak for the entire administration of BUA when I tell you how pleased we are to have entered into this agreement with Christian Leadership Institute.” President Maciel pointed out how this agreement with CLI allows students to become eligible for acceptance into a BUA degree program. “The development of relationships such as these are win-win for both institutions and facilitate the mission of training men and women leaders for the gospel of Jesus Christ,” stated President René Maciel.
President and Founder of Christian Leadership Institute, Sandra Dubón Cisneros, President and Founder of Anchored Love Ministries, stated that in 2006, she began to sense an urgent need for equipping leaders for God’s Kingdom in a setting that is flexible and convenient for people to achieve. “I am very grateful and blessed to be part of BUA. I thank God for the BUA family and community, trustees, and board. This is a day of rejoicing” said Mrs. Cisneros. Sandra is no stranger to Baptist University of the Americas. She has deep roots and personal relationships with BUA.
In 1978, Sandra Cisneros became a student at Baptist Theological Seminary in San Antonio, Texas, known today as Baptist University of the Américas. In 1982, she graduated with a Diploma in Theology, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree from Wayland Baptist University. In 2008 she enrolled at Dallas Baptist University where she received a Master’s Degree in Christian Education, which was completed in May, 2012.
Sandra understands the importance of needing to equip leaders that impact the lives of churches, businesses, and non-profit organizations. After praying, sharing with key leaders and advisers, exploring the possibilities for a Leadership Training Center, Sandra introduced the vision with the purpose of equipping and discovering leaders for the Kingdom of God. This vision became a reality in August 2012.
Christian Leadership Institute provides training that equips new and existing leaders, where men and women are able to receive leadership training regardless of geographical distance. CLI offers six certificates with each certificate program expanding two years in length for completion. The certificates offered are Christian Leadership, Christian Education, Ministry for the Family, Ministry for Women, Youth Ministry, and Ministry for Children.
